👨‍🚀 Greetings, Commanders!

🚀 In the “In Touch With Devs” segment, our team continues to answer frequently asked questions about the Space Arena. As part of the segment, we share the development process and upcoming plans for the game. If you have questions about game mechanics, you can always contact our community manager. We will pass them on to the development team and will publish the answers later.

💡 This time, HQ answered questions regarding campaigns, Junk Launcher, shields, Clan War bonuses, mines’ damage, Doomsday Laser, Glossy Armor, matchmaking system, Bunker Shield, and the new Fleet Arena.

Question from WELHALLA: Will there ever be anymore campaign content?

Answer: Yes! In future 3.9+ versions, there will be new campaigns. Also, there is a chance we may add more later.

Question from EnderRobo: Do bonuses from modules and the ship itself affect the junk pieces?

Answer: No, they don’t.

Question from Andrey Sidorenko: Is the shield in the game represented as a circle or a spherical shell? Asking because the shield force field can be temporarily removed, thus making it disappear for a while. During that moment, let’s say a mine or torpedo flies toward the ship but doesn’t have time to hit its hull. And then the shield force field reappears. Will the mine/torpedo be destroyed when it reappears inside this field?

Answer: The shield is represented as a circle. In such a case, the mine/torpedo will damage the ship’s modules, so it won’t be destroyed.

Question from Evgeny Tsvetkov: A question about Clan War bonuses. Since we have never used a defensive bonus for a ship in defense. Can we apply the entire weekly bonus limit of the same bonus to one player/ship? Or can we only use three different bonuses?

Answer: You can use a maximum of three different bonuses on one ship slot in defense.

Question from Kuznetsov: If the players can’t sell ship BPs, what is the use of them once already maxed?

Answer: Make sure to save them for community events!

Question from Leks I-Am: Is the damage from a mine applied to each module cell or just once to a whole module? Example: The explosion radius covers the entire 3×3 module. What damage will be dealt? Conditions: mine damage is 65, and module armor is 0. Will the total damage be? It’s 65 or 65*9=585?

Answer: If the module consists of more than one cell and all of these cells are within the exploding radius of the torpedo/rocket/mine, all the module’s cells will receive damage. However, the damage value will be different. So, the more cells the module has, the more damage it will receive from the projectile.

Question from SR.Mad: Will there be plans for the other 2 weapon categories for a similar gun like the Doomsday Laser and will they be accompanied by defenses like the Glossy duo did?

Answer: We currently have no plans to add such modules.

Question from CptKaos: Do improvements for blueprints also affect support ships?

Answer: That’s correct. Upgraded parameters of the main ship affect the modules of support ships.

Question from someone1010: Does the matchmaking system take into account your ship? Do some ships match other ships more often? Do skips tend to give the same type of ship?

Answer: The matchmaking system does take your ship model into account. However, modules placed on a ship are not considered. There is a chance to encounter the same ship in opponents, but not when rerolling the opponent.

Question from Sheltraks: What is the purpose of the Bunker Shield? Its parameters are worse than other shields. Perhaps it should be given slightly more armor?

Answer: This module is intended to help Commanders’ ships in the early game.

Question from Kiska: Regarding the new Fleet Arena. Do the bonuses of the ships themselves, such as bonuses to missile or ballistic damage, and weapon bonuses apply to the whole fleet?

Answer: All ship’s bonuses and parameters only affect this certain ship, not the entire fleet.

🤔 Commanders, thank you for your questions! What topics should we cover in the next “In Touch With Devs” issue? We will be glad to hear your suggestions and ideas for this segment!
