❄ Commanders, have you decorated your Miran for the upcoming celebrations yet? It’s time for the pre-New Year digest! Let’s review the events of the Commanders’ community and the Arena.
So much has happened this year that it simply won’t fit into a single digest. So, let’s stick to the key events that impacted the intergalactic community and the game as a whole.
🔹 The HQ managed to release major updates: 3.14, 3.15.1, 3.16, 3.17.1, 3.18.1, and 3.19. The current 3.20 and 3.21 updates are in progress. These ones will focus on improving the upgrade and limit-breaking systems, adding extra postbattle stats for many game modes, and preparing for something that will completely change the current meta. Intrigued yet, Commanders? Stay tuned for updates…
🔹 What about the previous updates? First of all, four new ships were introduced to the Arena: the Interceptor Fighter, the Acolyte Corvette, the Vulture Cruiser, and the Supreme Galactic Carrier. To ease the upgrading routine, these ships came with a special premium period, simplifying and reducing the cost of their upgrades. By the way, which new ship has become your favorite and why?
🔹 Two new events appeared: Contests and Raids. In Tournaments, Commanders earn special tokens by winning ranked battles. The more tokens you collect, the greater the rewards. Raids, a PvE mode, task Commanders with preparing a fleet and upgrading provided modules to escort a Harvester ship for the Trade Consortium. Many Commanders have already tested their luck in Raids, with some even coming up with tactics shared within clans. Both modes including a special reward – new galaxy called Black Hole. By exploring it, Commanders can earn blueprints for new ships as well as Limit Breakers. Future updates will include Raids for other ship classes.
🔹 Commanders had the chance to test—and permanently acquire—a new Armor Generator module. It has a unique mechanic unprecedented in Arena history, and Commanders have already found innovative ways to put it into their builds.
🔹 Another major feature introduced was a new system for upgrading ship parameters. With a guaranteed success feature, Commanders can now strengthen their ships even more than usual.
🔹 Toward the end of the year, the HQ rebalanced several ships and modules. Adjustments were made to the Kronos and Prophet ships, as well as the Arsenal Wall, Repair Bay, and Gaussian War Shotgun modules. Rebalance stuff will continue next year.
🔹 Throughout the year, we celebrated several holidays, including the 58th anniversary of the iconic Star Trek. During the event, Commanders had the chance to test the trial ship ST-58 “Wayfarer.” We also commemorated the launch of Earth’s first artificial satellite and the 10th anniversary of Interstellar appearing in cinemas. The HQ marked these occasions with special themed offers in the shop.
Now, let’s dive into our intergalactic community.
🗯 ~2800 new Commanders joined our Discord server throughout this year. We hope you’re enjoying the vibe here! Discord users left ~344 000 messages on the server—an impressive level of engagement. One can only imagine how many battles you play daily…
🗯 Major community events took place this year, including several Universe Challenges, Lucas Challenges, a Halloween event featuring five special challenges, and the Arena’s Birthday Celebration, where Commanders rescued our beloved mechacat TACO.
🗯 Over the past year, the HQ hosted 69 contests with diverse rewards. Next year, we’ll experiment with new formats while continuing traditional ones like On Duty, Anomaly Predictions and others.
🗯 The Discord Space Bazaar event contestants took part in giveaways of 49 lots this year. Within Bazaar sessions, Commanders had a chance to earn resources such as skins, Credits, Celestium, Limit Breakers, and even trial ships. Got ideas for new Bazaar lots? Share them with us—the HQ reviews all suggestions.
🗯 Our Analytics team conducted a deep dive into Commander activity. The most popular builds of this year within the community discussions are Achilles, Morningstar, Wraith, Phantom Mk2, and Age Eagle ships, while the Javelin, Vindicator, and Radiant-X were less in demand. In total, Commanders shared ~1,750 builds this year in all socials. Impressive!
🗯 Our community is teeming with creative minds. Commanders submitted ~700 ship designs across all socials. Each week, the HQ reviews these designs. Some of them are being added it into the game within the Anomalies event. The most innovative designs may even become as permanent ships. Got ideas? Send your shapes to our Discord server.
🗯 Commanders have been actively farming Discord activity points. Now we have new a rotation of rewards each month. Which rewards are your favorite to claim?
🗯 Our mechacat TACO also outdid himself this year. He prepared and released 99 clan war episodes. Despite covering similar content each time, he somehow keeps Commanders engaged. He promises to keep up the good work next year.
Surely, we’ve missed something. This year has been eventful for both the Arena and all Commanders. Each of you has grown stronger in some way. Keep it up—but don’t forget about life beyond the intergalactic expanse. In the coming year, we wish you to become the better version of yourself, both in reality and on the Arena!
The HQ raises a glass of galactic coke, and mechacat TACO waves his white mechanical paw from the cockpit.
Cheers! See you soon at the Arena!
